Wie alle Zünsler ist die Art Thisanotia chrysonuchella, leider ohne deutschen Namen, sehr klein und unscheinbar. Sie lieben offene Landschaften und sitzen am Tage ruhend in der Vegetation. Nur bei Störungen fliegen sie kurzzeitig auf. Dieses Exemplar konnte ich auf einer Ruderalfläche im ehemaligen Stahlwerk von Brandenburg an der Havel fotografieren.
